I-235 construction season gets underway
with downtown ramp closure

ES MOINES, Iowa – Jan. 22, 2007 – Although some work on I-235 in the Des Moines area has continued throughout the winter, the Iowa Department of Transportation's (DOT) I-235 Project Manager, Bill Lusher reports, “Construction is gearing up for the final push to completion of the corridor with the closure of the eastbound I-235 exit ramp at 3rd Street.” This ramp is scheduled to close Monday, Jan. 29 at 9 a.m. and remain closed until fall. Drivers on eastbound I-235 will be asked to exit at 7 th Street. See map below and attached for details.
