NOTE:
The bridges are completed, however, work is
continuing on the side streets and ramps at the MLK Jr./19th
St. interchange. The westbound entrance ramp is closed
for reconstruction.

Description:
The reconstruction of the MLK Jr. Parkway interchange
began in March 2002 with the reconstruction of the Cottage
Grove Avenue and MLK Jr. Parkway bridges, roadways and
ramps. Work in 2003 involved the construction of a new
bridge, roadway and ramps at 19th Street.
The
old MLK Jr. Pkwy Bridge was demolished in March 2004.
The work completed in 2002 is shown in blue on the map
below. Work completed in 2003 is shown in yellow.
